In Branch-line system, each detector is connected to the controller via an independent signal loop; all detection signals are input to the controller in parallel. This method is also referred to as point-to-point connection. The wireline system offers reliable signal transmission and ensures relative independence among detectors—meaning the operation of any single loop is unaffected by faults in other loops. Additionally, its power supply configuration is simple and imposes no stringent restrictions. However, installing a standalone wireline system involves relatively complex wiring, particularly when there are a large number of detectors or when the distance between the detectors and the controller is significant, leading to intricate cabling layouts and higher installation costs. Therefore, the wireline system is suitable for applications where the number of detectors is small, they are not concentrated in a specific area, they are located close to the controller, and high safety requirements are mandated.
